About Dr McKeon
Ellen McKeon, DVM, is a 1984 graduate of the University of Illinois. She is a general
practitioner and will readily refer you to someone with more expertise in a particular
area if she lacks the experience or instrumentation to proceed further on a case.
She is a proponent of animal welfare and adoption, but understands those who choose
other avenues to obtain a four legged companion. She does NOT, however, advocate
purchase from a known puppy mill or puppy mill distributor. She is a lover of the
vast majority of life forms, enjoys photography, music, reading, math, physics,
Theo-philosophy and walking (especially with her dog, Meggie).
Dr. McKeon worked for seven years for two different animal humane societies, several
years as an associate in private practice and the last 10-1/2 years as the founder
of House Calls – Veterinary, PC. Although the practice is primarily care of animals
in the client’s own home, she also does some surgeries, dentals and X-rays at a
colleague’s clinic.

About Mary Ann
Office Administrator
Mary Ann says that her experience with House Calls Veterinary has been both rewarding and
educational. She initially met Dr. McKeon in 2002 as a client, when the doctor made her
first house call to vaccinate Mary Ann’s six-week-old dachshund Hermann.
She says that each day brings much fulfillment, especially because of her deep compassion
for animals. She looks forward to talking with every client and assisting Dr. McKeon
administratively, to provide the best possible veterinary care for your pet.
